Ritual to Bind and Expel the Baneful Rays of Pluto

Many of you have likely felt it in the air—an intangible pressure, a deep unrest rising from beneath the surface. That’s because Pluto, the planet of death, transformation, hidden power, and shadow, is presently in retrograde - since May.

When Pluto retrogrades, its influence turns inward, dragging long-buried traumas, toxic patterns, and subconscious sabotage to the surface. Spiritually, this can manifest as haunting dreams, compulsive behavior, sudden spiritual fatigue, or an overwhelming sense of dread. Mundanely, you might notice power struggles, the resurfacing of unresolved issues, or destructive cycles returning with renewed force.

If you are suffering beneath its weight—feeling cursed, bound, or simply hollowed out—then below you will find a ritual (a-la-High Magick) to bind and dispel Pluto’s malefic influences from your life, at least temporarily. While Pluto remains retrograde until October, this rite can be performed as often as needed to keep its darker energies at bay.

For those seeking immediate relief or lacking the time for a full ceremony, we will also include a simplified version of the rite—something you can perform discreetly, yet still effectively.

Option 1 - The Full Ritual

You Will Need:

• The talisman provided.

• A small earthen vessel or jar with a lid, in which is placed sulphur, crushed myrrh, and salt.

• A black candle for Saturn.

• A thread of black wool.

Perform this rite in the Hour of Saturn, on a Saturday.

In the hour before the ritual, the wash yourself with water wherein rue and hyssop have been boiled. Alternatively, use salt water. Upon drying, recite:

"Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean; wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.Let not the shadow of the devourer cling to my limbs, nor the breath of the abyss dwell in my nostrils."

Then, proceed to the ritual area. Stand facing North. Say thrice:

“O Thou Ancient of Days, Saturn, Kronos, Zaphkiel, Lord of Binding and Time,

By Thy Name YHVH (YOHVAH) ELOHIM, I conjure Thee:

Cast Thine Eye upon the work I undertake, and lend Thy Chains to bind the Lord of the Pit.

Let Thy Angels be sent forth—Cassiel, Machatan, and Agiel—That they may enwrap the shadow of Pluto in darkness and iron, and lead it out.”

Hold the talisman in your left hand, pointing at it with your right hand, circle it thrice with your pointed right hand, speaking:

"By the Girdle of Saturn I bind thee,

O corrosive flame,

O eater of sanity,

O power behind veils!

In the name of the Lord of Time,

be cast into the Urn of Silence!”

Take the black woolen thread and begin to wrap it tightly around the talisman, making seven knots when wrapped. At each corresponding knot, recite:

Knot 1: I bind the teeth of the devourer,

Knot 2: I bind the eye of the corrupter,

Knot 3: I bind the tongue of the deceiver,

Knot 4: I bind the hand of the manipulator,

Knot 5: I bind the heart of the seducer,

Knot 6: I bind the shadow of the reaper,

Knot 7: I bind the path of death.

Place the bound talisman in the earthen vessel/jar and seal the lid. Say:

"Let this vessel contain that which shall trouble the soul no longer.

Let it be cast from the body, mind, and spirit into silence."

Burn Saturnian incense, such as Myrrh, and lift the vessel above the incense smoke and say:

“In the Most Holy Names: YOVAH ELOHIM, EL SHADDAI, ADONAI MELEKH, and by the power of the Seal of Saturn,

I declare the expulsion of the poisonous star and its work!

Be gone into the Abyss, Be silent in the Pit,

Be cast into chains by the Righteous Hand of the Lord of Time!”

Then state:

“Cassiel, Watcher of Boundaries;

Machatan, Breaker of Chains;

Agiel, Light in the dark vault—I give thanks and release thee.

Return unto thy station in peace,

and let no harm or influence remain behind.”

Extinguish the candle. After seven days, bury the vessel far from your home, while saying:

“As this vessel returns to the soil,

so do the evils therein return to naught.”

Option 2 - A Binding

You Will Need:

• A black cord or thread, about 1 meter in length (preferably wool or cotton).

• A quiet place where you will not be disturbed.

Perform this rite in the Hour of Saturn, on a Saturday.

Hold the black cord in both hands. Say:

“Thou who art the Keeper of Time and Chains,

Saturn, Kronos, Zaphkiel the Grey,

Hear now my voice.

By Thy Name YOVAH ELOHIM and by Thy angels Cassiel, Machatan, and Agiel,

I call forth Thy solemn might,

To bind the shadow that clings,

To fetter the poison of Pluto,

And to bring stillness where rot has crept.”

Take a breath and feel the gravity of Saturn fill the space.

Begin tying seven knots along the length of the cord. You may mark each knot (after you tie it) with your blood. As you tie each corresponding knot, say:

“By the First Knot, I bind the creeping dread.”

“By the Second Knot, I bind the voice that whispers ruin.”

“By the Third Knot, I bind the chain of obsession.”

“By the Fourth Knot, I bind the rot of the soul.”

“By the Fifth Knot, I bind the eye that watches from the dark.”

“By the Sixth Knot, I bind the fear that binds the will.”

“By the Seventh Knot, I cast the shadow out!”

Lift the bound cord and say:

“Corrupted Pluto, whose hand breaks the mind,

Be cast from this soul.

Let Saturn’s law enshroud thee,

Let Time consume thy venom.

Cassiel, mighty watcher,

Chain this specter fast.

Agiel, servant of silence,

Let the shadow be no more.”

Tie the cord around your wrist or ankle. State:

“Saturn, thou ancient one,

I thank thee and release thee.

Let the afflicted be made clean.

So be it.”

Keep it tied for 7 days, after which, burn it to ashes or bury it.
