Olive oil sanctifies without dictating the nature of what is being sanctified. In universal workings, it acts as a stabiliser: carrying intent cleanly, neither softening nor intensifying it unless the practitioner wills it.
Frankincense brings elevation and refinement, but it also acts as a bridge. Traditionally used to purify, uplift, and open the spiritual senses, frankincense can raise the tone of a ritual or clear the way for heavier, darker operations by removing interference. Its function is adaptive: it can brighten or clarify, but it can also carve a passage through spiritual density without moral alignment.
Bergamot adds expansion, movement, and energetic momentum. Rather than being tied to “positive” or “negative,” bergamot enhances flow - encouraging success, attraction, projection, and manifestation regardless of the nature of the work. Evening primrose oil, the base, is lunar, introspective, and receptive - an ideal carrier for shadow currents.
