The seventh lunar month (between August 23 and September 21 in 2025 )—known across many traditions as the Ghost Month—is a time when the veil between the living and the dead thins dramatically. In Chinese folk magick and Taoist practice, this is when the gates of the afterlife open and wandering spirits are permitted to walk among the living. It is a month of reverence, danger, communion, and opportunity.
For the occultist, the seventh lunar month is a window of immense spiritual power. It is during this period that spells and rituals involving necromancy, spirit communion, banishment, and spirit-binding are at their most potent. Certain days within this period are considered specifically auspicious for working with the dead and unseen forces.
Harnassing this potent time, we are offering a limited set of three distinct talismans, each hand-painted and created by us personally and which will be ritually empowered on one of these sacred days of the seventh lunar month, when spirit energy flows in greatest abundance. These talismans are tools, vessels of force, each aligned with a different intent relating to wandering spirits.
I. Talisman of Summoning
This talisman serves as a key and beacon, calling out to wandering spirits and enabling the practitioner to summon, perceive, and converse with them clearly. It is ideal for those seeking to commune with and employ the wandering dead. Whether you are seeking lost wisdom, arcane knowledge hidden among the dead, or even potential working spirits, this talisman facilitates safe and direct communion.
II. Talisman of Protection
Not all spirits come in peace. This talisman acts as a ward and banishing mark, repelling aimless, malicious, or predatory entities drawn to living energy. Especially useful for practitioners sensitive to spiritual influence, those working necromantic practices, or anyone who has become a beacon for unwanted attention. This is a guardian talisman, forged from the same lunar forces that release the dead, now commanded to stand firm as boundary and bulwark.
III. Talisman of Sealing
The most commanding of the three, this talisman is an instrument of binding. It draws wandering spirits toward a designated vessel (such as a jar, bottle, effigy, or even a spirit house), then seals them within it for future interaction, containment, or spiritual servitude. Such workings require responsibility, but can yield tremendous results in necromantic operations, curse reversal, or even the creation of spirit pacts. This talisman includes a seal designed to both call and lock. It is not merely a defense—it is a cage and a lure in one.
Each talisman is:
Hand-painted, created and empowered by us, using ritual ink and empowered talisman paper.
Empowered during one of the power days of the Seventh Lunar Month, harnessing peak spiritual currents.
Consecrated and sealed to hold its function for use by the practitioner.
Each talisman is resuable.
