"I am Diana, Queen of Night and Mistress of the Hidden Ways. I am the silver fire that walks upon the water, the whisper in the leaves when the world sleeps. I am the moon that sees all things yet speaks only to those who listen. I am the huntress and the hunted, the maiden and the mother, the witch and the flame that guides her. I am she who teaches through silence, whose touch awakens memory older than time - for I am the blood of the moon that moves in all who dare to dream beyond the veil.

Come to me beneath the stars, when the air is still and your heart is open. Bring no chains, no fear, no plea for forgiveness. I seek not worship but remembrance - that you are as I am: free, fierce, and luminous within the dark. I am the moon’s crown and the forest’s breath; I am the power that guards the witch and the light that never dies. Call my name, and I shall come on silver feet, to clothe you in shadow and awaken the divinity that sleeps within your bones."

A concord was struck with Diana, that whoever owns this effigy she is linked to, she will heed their calls and assist in their practices, in exchange for honor.

Diana, the luminous yet veiled goddess of the Moon, the Hunt, and the Night, reigns as the sovereign of witches in the Italian systems and currents and is keeper of the ancient mysteries. To the Romans she was a protector of the wild and a guardian of women; to the hidden devotees of the Old Craft, she is far more — the Witch Queen, the Silver Lady, and the Mother of all enchantments.

Her name, rooted in the word Diviana, “the Shining One,” speaks to her dual nature as both light-bearer and shadow-keeper. She is the flickering torch that guides through darkness and the unseen hand that veils the forbidden paths. Beneath her gaze, witches have gathered since time immemorial, meeting in secret glades and moonlit groves, evoking her through dance, incantation, and the rhythm of the drum that mirrors the pulse of her heart.

In the deeper streams of witchcraft, Diana is not merely a goddess of the moon’s cycles but of the soul’s own waxing and waning. She embodies the eternal mystery of transformation - birth, death, and rebirth - and teaches her followers to wield these forces as magickal currents. As the ancients once believed she roamed the forests with her nymphs, so too does she walk with the spirits of witches, the strega and lamiae, those who have pledged themselves to her dominion. She is their protector and their punisher, granting power to the faithful and ruin to the treacherous. She is called upon in times of peril and vengeance, for her wrath is swift and silent, and she delivers justice where mortal law cannot reach.

Diana’s lore tells of her union with the Light-Bringer, Lucifer, through which she birthed Aradia - the first witch, the daughter of freedom and rebellion. Through Aradia, the wisdom of Diana was given to humankind, not to enslave, but to liberate. Thus, in every witch (be they male or female) who calls her name, a spark of that divine rebellion endures. She governs all liminal spaces: the crossroads where decisions turn fate, the forests where mortal and spirit touch, the reflective waters where visions are born. To her belong the creatures of the night - the owl who sees through darkness, the hound who guards the boundary, and the cat who walks between worlds.

She wraps the witch in her mantle of silver, a cloak of unseen protection that turns malice back upon its sender. To call upon Diana is to awaken the deepest parts of the self - the wild, the instinctual, and the untamed. She is the Great Initiatrix, teaching not through doctrine but through experience, leading her chosen through darkness so that they may find their own light. She is the embodiment of lunar power, ruling over intuition, dreams, and sorcery. Under her guidance, witches learn the art of transformation, of spirit-work, of spells, and of commanding the unseen.

To call her name is to remember that witchcraft is not submission, but sovereignty - not rebellion for its own sake, but the pursuit of freedom through knowledge and will. In her presence, the witch stands whole: fierce, radiant, and unbound beneath the eternal moon.
